Bryant Hand

Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Bryant Hand

Bryant Hand

My name is Bryant Hand and I teach 7th Grade Social Studies/ Gifted Social Studies at Yeager Middle School. In addition, I am also the Team Leader for the 7th Grade Team and Department Leader for the YMS Gifted Program. I serve as the sponsor the YMS Junior Beta Club. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama; a Master of Education in Middle Level Social Studies from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia; and an Associate of Science in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College in Decatur, Georgia. I am a native of Tallapoosa, Georgia- a small town just west of Douglasville. For as long as I can remember I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I worked in Funeral Service all through High School and College, becoming licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Georgia. I began my career in education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, teaching courses in Embalming and Restorative Art. My family and I established roots in Douglas County in 2012- the year we were married. Together we have three beautiful (four-legged) children: Merlot- an Italian Greyhound, Knox, a Cockapoo; and Henry- the Himalayan cat. I am so honored to be a part of the Douglas County School System and to call myself a Yeager Middle School Mustang.
