Science Everywhere

Join us for an exciting Family Science Night where students and parents will explore how science connects to everyday life! This hands-on event will allow families to work together using common household and recycled materials to discover big scientific ideas in fun and engaging ways.

  • 6th Grade – Earth Science: Families will model how tectonic plates move and learn how these forces helped shape Georgia’s landscape, including the Appalachian Mountains.

  • 7th Grade – Life Science: Students will extract real DNA from strawberries and see the building blocks of life up close.

  • 8th Grade – Physical Science: Families will design and race balloon-powered cars while learning about motion, energy, and Newton’s Laws.

This event is designed to show students that science isn’t just in textbooks—it’s all around us. We look forward to learning, building, and discovering together!
