Congratulations to Mrs. Slatton and Mrs. Anthony who were both recipients of a School Impact Grant! Mrs. Slatton for Migrating Monarchs and Mrs. Anthony for Hands on STEM! The Douglas County Education Foundation offers Classroom Impact Grants awarded on a competitive basis to teachers at all grade levels, the foundation makes it possible to offer programs, projects, equipment, and enrichment opportunities that are not available through state funds alone. Grants promote creative and innovative ideas in and out of the classroom that directly impact student learning. Way to go Mrs. Slatton and Mrs. Anthony!! #bettertogether

Fifth-grade students have been reviewing the Scientific Method in STEM class. They've been conducting chemical reaction experiments while reinforcing their understanding of the Scientific Method and safety rules.

Congratulations to Makayla Dobbs who not only completed the summer reading program at the public library, but she was also our top reader logging her minutes into Beanstack this summer! She logged over 650 minutes! Our August Beanstack challenge is coming to an end and our September one kicks off this weekend.
